The penultimate step in your journey with RADAAS involves mastering the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE), a critical component for NMC registration. This comprehensive examination mirrors real-life healthcare scenarios encountered by nurses and midwives in the NHS. The OSCE is conducted at various test centers across the UK, and candidates must complete self-declaration details before the NMC issues their registration number.

The OSCE comprises six stations, assessing a nurse or midwife’s knowledge, understanding, and proficiency in planning, implementing, and evaluating care. Two stations specifically focus on testing clinical skills. Candidates have two paid attempts to pass the examination, with the option for a third attempt at their own expense if needed. Failing in all three attempts may necessitate a return to the home country.

The OSCE exam costs and associated expenses are covered by the hospital, highlighting our commitment to facilitating your success at this pivotal stage.

Step 8: Officially Commence Your Nursing Career in the UK!

Congratulations on successfully navigating through the rigorous OSCE! In this culminating eighth step, your hard work pays off as you become eligible for registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) and receive your NMC Personal Identification Number (PIN). This PIN signifies the official initiation of your career as a registered nurse (RGN) in the United Kingdom.

With this significant achievement, you are now equipped to contribute your skills and dedication to the healthcare landscape of the UK.
